How to Create an Equity Report in QuickBooks Online

  1. Login to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Accounting tab on the left side and click on Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the specific equity account that you want information from and then:
    1. Go to the left side and click on the dropdown arrow and click on Run Report.
  4. Once the report opens:
    1. Scroll to the top and set the dates of the time period you want to see the financial activity from (you can also just select All Dates) and then click Run Report.
  5. Once this new report opens:
    1. Click on the export button and Export to Excel.
  6. Now simply just Enable Editing in your newly downloaded spreadsheet and just prep and set your filters to the exact information you want to see, for example:
    1. All draws that total $5000.
    2. All activity that occurred within a specific time period.
    3. Sort from highest to lowest dollar amounts.
      1. Note: Ensure there are no blank columns when sorting; otherwise your data will not sort correctly.
